It is an inert masticatory carrier used as a support for the edible and soluble portion (sugar, glucose, sweeteners, polyols and flavors) of chewing gums and bubble gums. It is responsible for textural and masticatory properties of a gum. It is meant for usage in a heated mixing and extrusion process.

POWDER GUM

An advanced solution for your compressed confectionery and nutraceutical products

Powder gum is a blend of milled gum base, polyols and anticaking components. It is meant for usage in a cold compression process (tableting), usually for products that include active principles or herbal extracts. This process allows a higher dosage of active principles, thanks to the lower interaction of its components, compared to a standard mixing and extrusion process. Being a cold process, it also allows use of components that are heat sensitive.
